VYMO: The Place You Come for One Greeting and End Up Finding More

VYMO is a growing place for personalized video greetings, where you can find something for almost any occasion, discover new ideas, or try creating a video of your own.

VYMO: The Place You Come for One Greeting and End Up Finding More

There’s a certain kind of toy store that a lot of people remember from childhood.

Not the little shop with ten toys in the window. I mean the big one. You walk in looking for something specific, and then you start wandering around.

There’s a new game over here. Something funny over there. And that huge box you definitely weren’t planning to buy suddenly looks pretty interesting.

Then something else catches your eye.

A few minutes later, you’ve almost forgotten what you came in for in the first place.

That’s roughly the feeling we want VYMO to have.

Except instead of toys, there are personalized video greetings.

And there should be a lot of them.

Come for one greeting and find ten more

Let’s say it’s a friend’s birthday.

You want to send something more fun than the usual text message, so you open VYMO, look around, find a video that fits, personalize it and send it.

Done.

But why should that be where it ends?

You might spot another video and think, "Okay, that one is definitely for my other friend." Then you see something for Christmas. Then a Father’s Day greeting. Then something for another holiday.

And eventually you come across a video that has nothing to do with a holiday at all, but it fits someone you know so perfectly that you already know who you’re sending it to.

That’s the kind of experience we want VYMO to create.

You come looking for one particular greeting, but there’s always something else nearby worth checking out.

Greetings are at the heart of VYMO

For us, it all starts with greetings.

Not generic content. Not AI video just for the sake of using AI. People simply like having a good way to make someone else feel special.

A friend. A parent. A partner. A kid. A coworker.

And there are plenty of reasons to do it: birthdays, Christmas, New Year’s, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, weddings, anniversaries, work celebrations and all kinds of other occasions.

Sometimes there’s no occasion at all.

You see a video and immediately think: "I have to send this to him."

Those moments are especially fun.

A good greeting doesn’t always start with "Happy Birthday." Sometimes it’s much simpler: "I just saw this and immediately thought of you."

Why we like the idea of a big store

A good toy store doesn’t tell you exactly which toy you’re supposed to buy.

That’s part of the fun.

You can walk in looking for one thing and leave with a completely different idea. You might be shopping for your nephew and end up finding something you want for yourself.

It happens.

We want VYMO to have that same feeling.

You shouldn’t have to know the perfect search term before you arrive. You can just open the catalog and look around.

See what’s new. See what’s funny. Notice something you hadn’t thought about before.

And then find the video that makes you think: "Yep. That’s the one."

The bigger the platform gets, the more interesting that experience becomes.

But who’s going to fill all those shelves?

We can make new videos ourselves. We can keep improving the technology, the site and the tools people use.

But if VYMO is going to become a really big platform, it can’t all depend on a small team trying to come up with every new video.

That’s why we want the people using VYMO to be part of its growth, too.

Someone has an idea for a funny greeting. Someone wants to try a completely different format. Someone comes up with a music video. Someone thinks of a clever way to congratulate a person on a very specific occasion.

Why should that idea stay on their computer?

If it turns out well, it can become part of VYMO.

Someone else can find it, personalize it and send it to a friend.

And that person might think, "Wait, I could make something of my own."

That’s when a platform starts growing in a different way. Not just because we added more videos, but because people start bringing their own ideas into it.

One of our biggest goals

We want VYMO to grow into the largest marketplace for personalized greeting and entertainment videos.

It’s a big goal. That’s exactly why we like it.

We’re not saying all of that has already been built. There’s a lot of work ahead: more content, more creators, new tools, new formats and plenty of things we’ll probably change along the way.

But you need to know where you’re headed.

We want to get to a place where someone anywhere in the world can open VYMO, find a greeting for almost anyone and choose from a huge variety of options.

At some point, the question shouldn’t be "Where can I find a greeting?"

It should be more like: "Okay, which one do I pick?"

That would be a pretty good problem to have.

And then there’s entertainment

Greetings remain the main focus.

But other kinds of personalized content naturally fit around them.

Music videos. Funny clips. Unexpected situations. Videos you send just to get a reaction.

The line between a greeting and entertainment is pretty thin anyway.

You can send someone a personalized birthday video. Or you can send them something completely unexpected just because you know it’ll make them laugh.

That’s one of the directions VYMO can grow into.

More ways to celebrate. More reasons to send something. More things to discover around the greetings themselves.

But it all starts with greetings.

VYMO should grow with the people using it

We don’t want to build a platform where a small team sits somewhere behind the scenes deciding what everyone else is supposed to like, while users simply choose from whatever is already there.

There’s a much more interesting way to do it.

We build the platform. People use it. They notice what’s missing. They come up with ideas. They create videos. They find unexpected ways to use videos that already exist.

Some things take off. Some don’t. That’s fine.

New creators show up. New formats appear. New ideas come along.

And little by little, the platform itself changes.

That’s the kind of growth we’re interested in: VYMO developing alongside the people who use it.

A big idea can start with one small video

Right now, the whole thing can look pretty simple.

Someone uploads a photo. Picks a video. Gets a personalized result. Sends it to a friend.

But there’s a much bigger idea behind that simple action.

Imagine VYMO a few years from now.

Someone opens the site because it’s a friend’s birthday. Instead of sending another generic message, they step into a big world of personalized video.

There are greetings for all kinds of occasions. Funny ones. Sweet ones. Completely ridiculous ones. Music videos. Things that would have been hard to imagine a few years ago.

And something new is always showing up.

Some of it is created by the VYMO team. Some of it comes from people who simply decided to try making a video of their own.

That’s the VYMO we want to build.

Not a static catalog that gets filled once and left alone, but a place that keeps growing.

A place where there’s always something new to find.

And most importantly, a place you want to come back to

That’s probably the simplest way to look at it.

We don’t want people to remember VYMO only when someone’s birthday shows up on the calendar.

We want people to come back because they’re curious. To find something for a friend. To see new greetings. To discover an idea they hadn’t thought of. Maybe even to try creating a video themselves.

Then come back a week later and find something they didn’t see the first time.

Just like that big toy store.

You never really know what’s going to be on the next shelf.

But you want to keep walking.

That’s what we want VYMO to become - a big, constantly growing platform for personalized video greetings, developing alongside its users, creators and their ideas.

And if someone comes looking for one greeting and leaves with five ideas for people they want to surprise, then we’re probably moving in the right direction.
